Food Solutions Publishing Ltd was set up about 4 years ago, to help small businesses in the food industry keep up with and understand Food Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations.

  • Supermarkets and larger enterprises have the resources to have departments devoted to regulations and ensuring they are up to date and comply.

  • Many medium-sized operations use consultants to keep them up to date and develop their management systems.

  • Small and micro businesses (defined as less than 50 employees and less than 10) often struggle to keep up and don't understand what they have to comply with.

We produce a package of benefits which you can subscribe to or you can purchase the bits you want. All our handbooks and publications are written in plain English. Technical terms are explained and where necessary, quotes from regulations and offical guidance documents are included.

If you know what the Food Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations say and mean, it makes it much easier to comply with them.

YOU are responsible for the food you produce, process, handle, transport, serve or sell.

Our four directors are:

  • Bob Salmon - ran his own small dairy business, pioneering a new product into supermarkets. He is food expert for Europe on CEN committee maintains close links with UK trade organisations and professional bodies and regularly speaks at conferences in the UK and Europe.
  • John Golton-Davies - also ran his own small food business for some years.He spent many years working with small businesses and understands the problems they face.
  • Jane Davies - has wide experience of working with small business and in administration.
  • Ian Moore - his technical expertise and business experience equip him to deal with commercial matters, research and feedback.
